I have been creating some new protein shakes as I need to add more protein in my diet. I've created some recipes and thought I'd share some. Blueberry & Banana 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries 1/2 banana 1 tbsp flax seed oil 1/2 cup coconut water 1 serving of your favourite protein powder Strawberry & Banana 1/2 Banana 1/2 cup of Strawberries 1 tbsp Honey 1 tbsp Flax Seed Oil 1/2 cup coconut water 1 serving of your favourite protein powder I also tried the Strawberry & banana without the honey and it is fine. If your blender can handle ice, add some ice cubes if any of the fruit isn't frozen. Nice and refreshing after a hot workout. Play around with the fruit that you like. Try it without the flax seed oil if you wish. I found some recipes online with that in it and I thought it was a good way to get some of my omegas. Please note no juice or water is needed for these shakes. I used to add them and found it really runny and of course with juice it would just add more sugar. Stick with the fruit!
