Many people have been referring to the coalition as a ‘coup’ or ‘undemocratic’. But that is far from the truth. I think a lot of that comes from watching too much American TV. I have to admit I’m not that familiar with all the rules regarding the parliamentary system, but have been learning a lot the last few days.

The Conservative’s greatest skill is understanding the minds of the ignorant and using that understanding in politics (Thanks to @buzzbishop for the quote). Hence some public outcry over what is going on in Ottawa.

The coalition is a perfectly legitimate possiblity in our parliamentary democracy. You may not like it, but it doesn’t make it ‘undemocratic’.

Another point that the Conservatives keeping hammering is that the Liberal-NDP-Bloc coalition is a ‘separatist coalition’. In 2004, Harper was willing to have a coalition with the Bloc, but now that it doesn’t fit to his ideas it is a ‘separatist coalition’. (globeandmail.com).

Okay, so insurance is taking care of a few things, but I need to start kicking up a fuss with Ford.

Any ideas? I’ve been doing some research and I have found some other complaints or stories regarding fires in Ford Focuses.

My car was in good condition. It was well maintained and I have most of my records. Although my last servicing that was done in St. John’s, Newfoundland, went up with the car.

So here is what happened:
I was driving with my cruise control on and I was going up a hill. Once I got near the top I started to lose speed. I turned off the cruise control and started going down the hill and I was still losing speed. I put my foot on the accelerator and I was still losing speed.
My boyfriend was in his vehicle ahead of us and I walkie talkie over to him saying that there was a problem with my vehicle.
I pulled over onto the side of the road and opened the hood of the car. There was a small fire and Chris closed the hood and we ran. Within minutes the car was engulfed in flames.

Ok, so a few weeks ago MacKay said that the Conservative party wouldn’t throw out people who vote their conscience. But MP Bill Casey voted against the budget and now has been kicked out of caucus. WTF???

WTF? Ok, I don’t have a problem with mental-health patients going out for a ball game, but sexual predators? You’ve got to be f****** kidding me.
