Catholics at it again...

So the pope is thinking of excommunicationing Catholic politicians if the support gay marriage. Talk about taking a step backwards.
And people wonder why I stopped being a Catholic. The more they become unaccepting and intolerant of others the more people will leave the church.

The British Are Funny

7 in 10 British citizens do not know what blogging is. Well if you are one of those people (not knowing what a blog is, not necessarily being British) then you are looking at it.
There were more people in Britian that knew what dogging was. Damn, they got a name for everything.

Nobel Peace Prize

Well luckily the Nobel Peace Prize didn't go to Bono. I wouldn't have minded it going to Bob Geldof, but I figured there would have to be someone more deserving. The winners were Mohamed ElBaradei and the International Atomic Energy Agency. Here is a quote from there web site:

The IAEA works for the safe, secure and peaceful uses of nuclear science and technology. Its key roles contribute to international peace and security, and to the World's Millennium Goals for social, economic and environmental development.

Jon Stewart in Toronto

Thanksgiving

Well I had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend. Chris and I went to Kingston. Went to a great restaurant there called Gusto and ran into a high school acquaintance, Greg Ball. Small world. I guess he has lived there for 3 years now. Then Chris and I went to see Wallace & Gromit. It was pretty good. Took a day trip on Sunday to Montreal and went to Olympic Stadium. We went up in the Observatory, it was pretty cool.

Big Brother

Holy crap, this sounds scary. The Canadian government wants the ability to use wiretap surveillance on telecommunications. Here is an excerpt of the story:

The federal government is demanding that the telecommunications industry build a wiretapping capacity into their networks that would allow authorities to conduct round-the-clock surveillance on the e-mail, Internet or phone use of more than 8,000 people at a time, sources say

Canada Broadband

It looks as though Canada is leading the Americans in use of broadband. It's too bad we are lacking in HDTV and wireless technologies. Come on people let's get moving! Chris and I are very lucky that we have both HDTV and wireless internet. The wireless internet allows us to have computers on more than one floor without running cables throughout the house. The HDTV allows us to see our favourite shows in a higher resolution.

Brain Power

Here is a quote from the Independent News article:

Experiments on rats given a potent cannabinoid have shown the drug stimulates the growth of new brain cells.

Humans Suck

This is why humans make me so mad. Can we not strive to be a better society. We must set a goal to be better then what we are. In the meantime, I hate humans. At least these people anyways.
